Planet Ice seeks to illustrate the beauty and significance of ice on Earth, how it shapes the landscape, provides habitat, affects climate and is affected by climate. Braided River, the non-profit arm of Mountaineer’s Books will publish the book in 2009, and a series of exhibits in major museums will follow. Noted scientists, adventurers, and artists will provide essays. Braided River is a 501(c)(3) organization.
